Watch & Craft Screening of Emma (2020)

Synopsis

We chose Emma because we anticipate it providing quite the bit of inspiration with its candy-coloured visuals and delicately ornate costumes. This is thanks to director, Autumn de Wilde’s, keen eye for enticing visuals.

Photographer of the stars, director of music videos and overall creative visionary, Autumn de Wilde, directed her first and only feature film in 2020. The premise of Jane Austen’s famous novel is simple: In 1800s England, a well-meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends. De Wilde’s Emma is just one in a long line of adaptations, but one that stands out for its utterly delightful pictures and boatloads of yearning.

“If I’d loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more” – did we mention it is absolutely swoon-worthy?
