A tender rumination on the tenuous bonds of family, the changing Icelandic landscape and the passage of time itself. The film chronicles a year in the life of Anna, a visual artist and her commercial fisherman husband Magnus as they navigate an amicable but emotionally complex separation while co-parenting their three children through the changing seasons. Palmason weaves moments of deadpan humour with surreal flourishes, as he subtly blurs the line between reality and the subconscious, together with a dreamy piano score and a winning performance from Panda the dog!
