Queen of Soca is a coming-of-age drama about Olivia, a talented young singer from an impoverished community in Trinidad. Living under the strict rules of her deeply religious mother, she is forbidden from pursuing soca music, a genre her mother condemns as sinful. When Olivia reconnects with an old friend who believes in her gift, she is tempted into the world of soca. As she struggles to balance faith, family, and her desire to escape poverty, Olivia discovers that her greatest battle isn’t just with her mother, but with the courage to believe in herself.
