Set in a Galician fishing village, the story follows a grieving community trying to heal and look to the future two years after a tragic boat shipwreck claimed the lives of seven of its nine crew members. To lift their spirits the villagers decide to reunite and revive their rondalla – a traditional folk music group made up of people of all ages, playing traditional instruments such as bagpipes and tamborines, and led by Andrea, the 18 year old daughter of the deceased boat captain. Blending the traditional with modern pop and rock hits, the ensemble prepares to compete in an annual regional contest, but unexpected revelations regarding the cause of the shipwreck come to light, threatening their fragile harmony.
