let’s make the most out of this summer enjoying of the Calthorpe Community Garden with a unique night enlightened by migration stories from Mexico and Costa Rica.
on Wednesday, August 28th, we’ll be exploring the complex experience of leaving or being left by someone within the context of migration. while some struggle with being away from home, others have no choice but to leave their children behind to survive and cover their basic needs. the films to be served delve into the resilience needed to endure the abandonment of one’s birthplace and the varied paths people take to create a livable life.
after the screening, we’ll facilitate an open discussion to share thoughts, feelings and reflections on the films.
