While driving home at night with his pregnant wife and young daughter, Eghbal runs over a dog and his car breaks down. Vahid, a car mechanic, at the garage thinks he recognizes one of his former torturers from when he was detained by the Iranian authorities. The film follows a group of former Iranian political prisoners who face the question of whether to exact revenge on a man they believe may be their sadistic tormentor but who vehemently protests his innocence.
