Synopsis
Pansy is a woman tormented by anger and depression, hypersensitive to the slightest possible offence and ever ready to fly off the handle. Pansy’s jovial sister Chantele gets her to confront ‘hard truths’ about herself as a Mother’s Day celebration. Pansy experiences a moment of warmth and reconciliation with her family but uncertainties remain. Mike Leigh, now 82, on top form once again.
