Synopsis
Love Is Strange brings together 13 short films exploring warped romance, awkward desire, tenderness, obsession and emotional misfires.
Across live action, animation, stop motion and experimental film, the programme moves from tense relationships and impossible honesty to peculiar attractions, strange creatures, burlesque, surreal encounters and a man who falls hopelessly in love with a pineapple.
These are love stories in forms that are strange, funny, unsettling and unexpectedly moving.

Fringe Flicks is People Versus TV CIC’s underground community film night, bringing together strange and inventive independent work in a welcoming, social setting at DoES Liverpool.
Doors open at 7:30pm, with films beginning at approximately 7:50pm. There will be a 20–30 minute interval, a Love Is Strange playlist curated by Esa Shields, a raffle and an Audience Choice Award sponsored by The DCP Works. The screening and activities finish at around 10pm, followed by an optional social until approximately 10:30pm.
