Synopsis
Michel is a small-time crook who fancies himself a movie-style gangster. After stealing a car and impulsively killing a policeman, he retreats to Paris to persuade his American girlfriend, Patricia, to run away to Italy with him. As the police close in, the duo navigates a series of philosophical conversations and narrow escapes. Jean-Luc Godard’s directorial debut remains a high-voltage, stylish explosion of cinematic cool.
