All We Imagine as Light (BBFC 15) is a beautiful, sweeping, soulful film that explores the complexities of female friendship and captures the frantic and heady atmosphere of modern Mumbai. The light, the lives, and the textures of contemporary, working-class India are centred and celebrated through this poetic character study of three women from different generations facing distinct challenges.
