  • Description

Kino-Teatr is housed in St Leonards' oldest movie theatre and has been restored by Baker Mamonova Gallery and transformed into an independent Cinema, Arts Centre, Music Venue and Restaurant. The cinema opened in July last year and has been enthusiastically received by the local community. The cinema caters for the thriving artistic and musical communities, showing regular art and music documentaries and biopics. We shows new releases as well as Art house cinema , British independent films and old classics. We are showcasing the work of young, local filmmakers in May this year. There was no other cinema in St Leonards itself before we opened, only an Odeon in Hastings town centre and independent Cinema The Electric Palace in Hastings Old Town. We hope to do live screenings of theatre in the near future. Having our own restaurant means we can offer a special deal of brunch and a film on Sundays which is very popular. There is also a bar in the cinema so people can take drinks and snacks into the film with them.
