  • Description

Welcome to Film on Friday! We show films in Mayfield’s Memorial Hall, unsurprisingly, on a Friday. Given the current need for social distancing, all our films up until the end of 2020 will also have a second house on the following Sunday afternoon. Here’s a quick guide to all you need to know. See our website for more details.

What? We show an exciting and diverse programme of films which have not been widely shown, if at all, in commercial cinemas, sometimes with a remastered classic that deserves to be seen on a big screen. Where? The Memorial Hall, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield, East Sussex TN20 6PJ. See map.

When? Usually the second Friday of the month from September to May each season. See Films page. Doors open 7.45pm. Film starts 8.15pm. While Covid-19 restrictions apply, there will also be a second house on the following Sunday at 1.30pm for 2pm. Members will need to book which house they wish to attend. They will receive an email a week before each film to prompt them to do this.

How? Subscribe for the season or come as a guest.

Why? “Movies touch our hearts and awaken our vision, and change the way we see things. They take us to other places, they open doors and minds.”- Martin Scorsese.

What about Covid-19? Special are arrangements in place.
