The Kirkgate Centre

A friendly and informal community venue. Bar and ice-creams available, and you can take drinks into the auditorium.

Thanks to funding from the Fresh Ideas Fund we installed full digital projection and satellite facilities in spring 2017, since when we've been able to show recent releases and offer live streaming of theatre, opera and other events.

We show films most Monday nights, and have occasional Film Fridays and matinees of family films during school holidays.

We're very excited about the brand new, very comfortable chairs that will be in place from the beginning of 2018.

The venue is also available to hire for private parties.
