Ravensthorpe Village Cinema
Ravensthorpe Village Cinema (RVC) presents film screenings at Ravensthorpe Village Hall, 1 High Street, Ravensthorpe NN6 8EH.
We show with a diverse range of films reflecting the preferences of the audience. We offer typically two screenings a month from September to June - a mainstream film screening and a 'cinephile' screening. There are occasional afternoon matinees of classic films or musicals accompanied by light lunch or tea.
Mainstream films generally will be good films that people may have missed or would like to see again on ‘the big screen’.
Cinephile films are typically foreign language, documentary or films of particular cinematographic merit enjoyed by the more committed cinema-goer. They are of possibly less wide appeal but offer greater diversity in ideas, style and perspective and provide insights into different cultures or ways of life.
The Hall has a capacity for screenings in excess of 70; the cinema is open to all but advance booking and payment (cash or on-line via Ticketsource link) is recommended. Cash only is taken at the door.
For mainstream and cinephile screenings – doors open at 7.00pm and films start at 7.30pm. There is usually an interval for films much in excess of 90 minutes.
The Village Hall has access and facilities for the disabled.
There is a licensed bar selling beers and wines; complimentary tea/coffee and cordial are available.
The future programme can be viewed on our website.
