Synopsis

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe (VE) Day on May 8, 1945. To commemorate this significant occasion, we are excited to announce a screening of the film Dad’s Army.

Set in 1945, with WWII nearing its climax, the Allies are preparing to invade France and deliver the final blow to the German Army. However, in Walmington-on-Sea, morale among the Home Guard is low. Their new mission—patrolling the Dover Army base—offers a chance to revive spirits and restore their reputations. That is, until glamorous journalist Rose Winters arrives to write about their exploits, sending pulses racing and putting the local women on high alert.

Soon, MI5 discovers a mysterious radio signal being sent directly to Berlin from Walmington-on-Sea. There’s a spy on the loose! With the outcome of the war suddenly at stake, it falls to these unlikely heroes to rise to the occasion.
