It's sexy, it's gorgeous, it's emotional, it's fun, it's the basis for progressive NY mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's (specious) nepo baby allegations! 🤪 We weren’t very familiar with Mira Nair’s extensive body of work before watching the NY election, and have been diving in - after watching this movie we knew we had to put it on the PEPCOT big screen.

Holly stars as a small-town Kansas girl who tries to make it big—or at least find a roommate—in New York City. One of the first features with a trans lead, this joyous valentine to individuality features a supporting role from Warhol scenester Tally Brown and cameos from Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin.” - American Genre Film Association. Holly Woodlawn's comedic timing and physical humor is so magnetic, you can literally feel this movies impact on John Waters. It's zany and wild and extremely 70's. <3 <3
