Mondo Queero Film Club
We’re a non-profit community cinema and queer film club based at the Carlton Club CIC in Whalley Range. Our aim is simple: to create a cosy, welcoming third space for queer people of all ages to come together—outside of the usual clubs and pubs.
Each month we host screenings of queer cult classics, leftfield gems, and films with a queer sensibility that deserve to be seen on the big screen. With our 4K projector and huge screen, you’ll get the cinema experience but in a relaxed, friendly setting.
After the films, we keep things informal—staying on with visuals, soundtracks, and plenty of space to chat, meet new people, and connect. Think of it as a queer living room, only bigger, warmer, and full of great films.
Come join us for a night where cinema, community, and queerness meet.

Synopsis
Gaspar Noé's choreographed descent into hell!
Additional Info
This Halloween we are excited to be showing Gaspar Noé's Climax (2018) in HD on our new big screen in The Green Room at The Carlton Club.
We are big fans of Noé's tale of creation and destruction: a dance troupe's rehearsal starts to go horrifically wrong after someone spikes the sangria.
Part music video, part horror movie - the soundtrack is phenomenal, the dance numbers are phenomenal and we can't wait to watch this energetic, stressful descent into hell with a bunch of queers on Halloween night!
Doors 7pm - seating is unreserved so come down early for chats and to grab a drink from the Carlton.
Last entry 7.15pm and screening starts promptly at 7.30pm
There will be horror projections and downbeat spooky music afterwards in the Green Room if you want to hang out post-movie.
