Keswick Film Club

Based in a century old bespoke cinema that boasts comfortable surroundings, top notch sound and brilliant quality DCP projection; the film club meets every Sunday from September until clocks change to British Summertime. In February there is the added bonus of the Keswick Film Festival when Patron Sir John Hurt is a regular attendee. There is complimentary coffee and sweets and members enjoy a discount on admission prices to the commercial screenings. The Club brings the best of world cinema and presents films that otherwise would not be screened in the area. In addition it offers a New British Talent Sunday when two films are selected featuring first-time British directors who usually attend. There is also a visit during November to the IMAX screen at Rheged with a specially selected presentation to make the most of the awesome screen. All Club screenings are wonderfully friendly, welcoming and open-to-all.
