Harwell Village Hall

The cinema began as both a community facility and a way of raising some funds for our major redevelopment of the Village Hall. The community has raised over £450,000 (including money from the cinema) towards the overall project costing £1.3million. The project includes the demolition of a condemned hall, the build of a new replacement hall and refurbishment of the main hall. Currently the cinema operates in the new Orchard Hall with brand new and very comfortable retractable seating, up-to-date equipment and a hearing loop. The photo shows the new hall which is the replacement for the now demolished hall. We are very proud of the involvement of the community in this project and the contribution that the cinema has made to the fund raising and as a welcome facility for the village. We plan to continue showing films now that the project has been completed. Come along to watch the film and enjoy a drink (and nibbles) at the bar!
