Films At Shadforth
We are a community group aiming to increase access to and enjoyment of film, for children and adults, at Shadforth Village Hall, near Durham. Come to one of our special film events! Also, join the Film Club: membership is just £5 for adults and children, giving free access to most special events and monthly meetings for the subscription year (until 30th April each year). (Children aged 4 and under free.)

Shadforth Village Hall is around 4 miles from Durham City and is located beside a bus stop (bus 24 from Durham or Peterlee) and The Farmer's Arms village pub (previously the Shadforth Plough pub). There is free parking outside Shadforth Village Hall.

Beautiful landscapes and adventures on screen with highlights from the London Mountain Film Festival, on the big screen at Shadforth, near Durham! Saturday 15th March, 5pm-8.30pm (approx). Adults £7 (Under 18s £4, under 5s free). (Doors open 4.30pm)

5pm – 6.30pm Part 1: Outdoor Activities
Art, Walking, Running, Mountain Biking, Snowboarding, Skiing, Flying, Canadian Canoe Expedition, Scottish Lifting Stones
Interval
7pm – 8.30pm Part 2: Mountain Focus
Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, Female Pioneers, Everest Revisited 1924 – 2024
Tickets on sale online until 1pm on 15th March and then available on the door at 4.30pm (while stocks last). All times approx. You are welcome to attend the full event (5pm – 8.30pm, with interval at 6.30pm-7pm), or come only for Part 1: Outdoor Activities (5pm-6.30pm) or Part 2: Mountain Focus (7pm-8.30pm).
Tea/coffee etc will be available but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.
There is a pub next door: The Farmers Arms. Parking is available outside and near the venue, Shadforth Village Hall (DH6 1LL). There is a bus stop just outside the venue for Arriva bus 24 (Durham-Hartlepool), stop “Shadforth Plough” www.arrivabus.co.uk
Shadforth Village Hall is wheel chair and mobility scooter accessible, with a ramped entrance and disabled toilet. No stairs. If you are bringing a wheel chair/scooter please let us know if possible by emailing MarchMountainFestival@outlook.com
Attendees are also welcome to join us at our regular Film Club on Sunday 16th March, 3pm (PG) and 5.30pm (U), with an adventure theme!
