Filmbox Community Cinema
Spent all your money on the children? Too tired to go to town for a wider choice of films? Slumped at home in front of a DVD? Then FILMBOX is for you!
A fortnightly community cinema for grown-ups founded in September 2012, FILMBOX brings a diverse world of film to the Beckenham & Bromley area - open to all. There are no independent cinemas in the whole of the London Borough of Bromley and therefore choice of films at commercial cinemas is very limited. So, we show catch-ups, classics, indie & World cinema; plus live special features, documentaries & short films. See films on a big screen with a great audience as the film-makers intended. An imaginative, self-funding addition to commercial cinemas, run entirely by volunteers, for the love of film. Friendly, fully-licensed bar (we accept credit/debit cards), local Kentish ice creams, sorbets, wines & juices. Great membership discount scheme, no popcorn mess, clean loos - free parking. Film introductions and notes. We have 2 screens (large screen seats 400+ and the smaller screen seats 84). Check out our Ticketsource online box office page for our fortnightly programme of films - we now offer a choice of TWO films per FILMBOX night. Open to non-members.
