errante is a travelling programme of migration films screened in alternative spaces in dialogue with experimental arts and food.
in London we are sheltered by the Calthorpe Community Garden (10 minutes walking-distance from King's Cross station). in collaboration with local migrant-owned businesses, the films will be served with food related to the diaspora(s) of the works screened.

Synopsis
“Luz Nocturna” (Night Light) by Kim Torres: A tale about solitude portrayed from the intimacy of three siblings who are about to receive one of the harshest news of their lives. In the midst of it all the forest accompanies them, but also haunts them.
“Dile a Todos que Volví” (Tell everybody I'm Back in town) by Mauricio Sánchez: After several years of being away Oscar returns to his hometown wanting to relive the past. What he longs for is an impossibility, the town of his memories only exists within him. Things have changed drastically, and old relationships have withered.

let’s make the most out of this summer enjoying of the Calthorpe Community Garden with a unique night enlightened by migration stories from Mexico and Costa Rica.
on Wednesday, August 28th, we’ll be exploring the complex experience of leaving or being left by someone within the context of migration. while some struggle with being away from home, others have no choice but to leave their children behind to survive and cover their basic needs. the films to be served delve into the resilience needed to endure the abandonment of one's birthplace and the varied paths people take to create a livable life.
after the screening, we’ll facilitate an open discussion to share thoughts, feelings and reflections on the films.
