Crowcombe Cinema

Crowcombe Hall was built in 2004 to provide services for the rural community. With the help of Moviola we started showing films on Sunday nights. The screenings have become something of a social occasion, with people meeting in the bar before hand and chatting over ice creams in the interval. We now show two films a month, the Sunday showings being mainly main stream and Friday nights showing films that are unlikely to make the main cinemas. The films from the Moviola selection are chosen by a small group, mainly volunteer projectionists. Information on the films is mainly distributed by our evergrowing email list. The audience come from many miles around, particularly for the Friday films.
