Broomhall Community Cinema

Broomhall Community Cinema shows films every other month at the Broomhall Centre, an accessible and much-loved community centre in the heart of Sheffield. Through our friendly and welcoming screenings, we aim to bring our local community together!

The volunteer team behind Broomhall Community Cinema wanted our film programming to be open, inclusive, and reflective of the communities we're based in, which is why all of the films we show are suggested by our audience members. From science fiction to social realism, high octane action movies to feel-good comedies, we're open to showing (almost) anything you want! Anyone who lives in Sheffield is welcome to suggest films for us to show, and you can submit your film suggestions online (here, in fact: https://forms.gle/RhxKupbtziVxKv256) or by completing a paper form, which you can pick up from the Broomhall Centre.

At the screenings themselves, you can expect to find little extras that aim to make our audience's movie-going experience a touch more special: from handmade programme notes all about the film that's being screening, to intro and outro talks, and plenty more besides! Our venue has level access, accessible toilets, free parking and good public transport links, and we always have a cash-only concession stall selling a range of drinks and sweet treats.
