Ayr Film Society
Ayr Film Society has been in operation for over 50 years and endeavours to provide an interesting, varied and eclectic mix of independent, contemporary, classic, English and Foreign language films also including animations and documentary films. The Society works hard to boast a diverse programme of thought-provoking and challenging films. It is an award winning society mainly for its programming.
Screenings at Ayr Town Hall, seating in Main Auditorium in either stalls or balcony
The Society is regularly shortlisted at the FSOY Awards run by Cinema for All having won a Distinction Certificate as recent as 2020. Check out all awards at the website www.ayrfilmsociety.co.uk
The society runs weekly between September and March each year. Members are always consulted through weekly reaction charts so that the committee always have information to assist with programming in the future.

Synopsis
Acclaimed conductor Thibaut has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donor. Learning he was adopted, he finds an older brother, a musician and factory worker. Their reunion sparks a fraternal, musical journey amidst the town's factory closure.
